Reinforcements at the Invasion of Normandy
Reinforcements are arriving soon, commanders! In the upcoming major update, the “Invasion of Normandy” campaign will receive 3 new campaign levels with squads, weaponry and vehicles for each side. We will also introduce premium squads for the support specialties.
27th campaign level
Attacker pilots come with a special starter perk with which they can control heavy aviation classes, such as dive-bombers, attackers and strike aircraft. This squad will be in high demand due to the effectiveness of their aircraft against ground targets.
USA | 373rd Fighter Group, 412th Fighter Squadron
Squad specialization: attacker pilots. There may be up to 3 units in this squad, 1 of which with the "Attacker pilot II" specialization.
New aircraft
Republic P-47D-28 Thunderbolt
Republic P-47D-28 Thunderbolt — a strike aircraft with high speed, rugged design, and great frontal armament consisting of eight 12.7 mm M2 Browning machine guns. Its firepower will allow it to keep supporting ground forces even after the bomb and rocket weaponry is exhausted.
Historical information about the squad
This group has been patrolling the beach and providing air cover for other units across the entire Normandy landing operation, using the versatility of their aircraft to keep the skies and ground clear for the advancing friendly infantry.
Germany | Jagdgeschwader 1 III./JG1

New aircraft
Fw 190 A-8
The Fw 190 A-8 — a fighter that proved to be a reliable " Workhorse" for the Luftwaffe. The aircraft was used as an aerial interceptor but could even perform the role of a ground attack aircraft if necessary. The A8 model received even more powerful frontal armament, consisting of four 20-mm MG 151 cannons and two 13-mm MG 131 machine guns.

When the Allied landing at Normandy began, the squadron was quickly relocated to France to combat the advancing allied forces, engaging aircraft and ground troops alike.
28th campaign level
Flametroopers are essential for countering enemy manpower entrenched in buildings and bunkers - in places too dangerous to siege with conventional weaponry alone. In these situations, the flametrooper is perfect for causing panic and destruction in such cramped spaces.

Squad specialization: flametrooper. There may be up to 7 units in this squad, 2 of which with the "flametrooper" specialization.

Flammenwerfer 41 — a modernized version of the famous German flamethrower. Unlike the Flammenwerfer 35, it has higher gas pressure, which increases the range of the flame jet from 20 to 30 meters, but reduces the firing time. Due to the higher pressure, the damage output of this flamethrower is higher than the previous model as well.
Historical information about the squad
The division was originally supposed to be moved to the Eastern Front, but ended up staying in France because of the threat of Allied invasion.
29th campaign level
Weapons available at this level can be used by any available assaulter squad. You can change the weapon in the Soldiers menu by clicking on the appropriate squad, its individual soldier, and then on the primary weapon slots.
