Capturing Moscow was the primary goal of the “Blitzkrieg” on the Eastern Front. A Force of 2 million, with absolute superiority in ground vehicles, artillery and aircraft seemed to leave little chance for the defenders of Moscow. However, the valour of the defending forces managed not only to stop the advancing German forces in their tracks, but also to create a fast counter-attack which then kick started the offensive against the Nazi war machine. The battle of Moscow was the first major victory over the Axis forces. It is where the road to the great Victory began.
The campaign contains several battle sites typical of the defense of Moscow in November, 1941.
